Terms of Service

1. Purpose and acceptance

Unbyul (운별) is a fortune-telling app that combines Korean saju (四柱命理) with Western astrology. It is operated by OKSUSU CODE LAB (옥수수코드랩), a sole proprietorship registered in the Republic of Korea, represented by LEE YONGSOO (이용수). Business registration number 462-25-02344; mail-order business report number 2026-Goyang Deogyang-gu-2357. In these terms we call ourselves "we", "us" or "Unbyul", and we call you "you" or the "User".

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a binding agreement between you and us about your use of the Unbyul app, the website at https://unbyul.oksusucode.com and the related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

You must be at least 14 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use the Service only with the knowledge of a parent or guardian, and any purchase must be made with their consent.

Our Privacy Policy at https://unbyul.oksusucode.com/privacy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of your agreement with us.

2. Definitions

• "Service" means the Unbyul mobile app for iOS and Android, the Unbyul website, and all features, content and support we provide through them.
• "User" means any person who has created an account or uses the Service.
• "Coins" means the virtual currency sold inside the app and used to unlock paid Content. "Paid Coins" are Coins you bought; "Bonus Coins" are Coins we granted free of charge as part of a pack or promotion.
• "Content" means everything shown in the Service, including charts, interpretation text, images, share cards, and the interpretation database behind them.
• "Reports" means paid Content unlocked with Coins, such as theme reports, compatibility reports, yearly fortunes, the lifetime comprehensive report, the all-in-one bundle, and AI consultation answers.
• "Store" means the Apple App Store or Google Play, through which the app is distributed and in-app purchases are processed.

3. Account registration and security

You can sign in with an email address, an Apple ID or a Google account. One person may hold only one account. You must provide accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.

Fortune readings are calculated from your gender, date of birth, time of birth and birth place. Results depend entirely on this data. If you enter it incorrectly, the results will be wrong, and we cannot refund Coins spent on Reports generated from data you entered incorrectly.

You may add profiles for other people (for example, for a compatibility reading) only when those people have agreed to it. You are responsible for having that consent.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorised use, contact us at support@oksusucode.com without delay.

4. Nature of the service and disclaimers

Entertainment and self-reflection only

The Service offers fortune readings based on traditional saju and astrology. It is provided for entertainment and self-reflection. It is not medical, legal, financial, investment, psychological or any other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for consulting a qualified professional. Any content that mentions health, body or wellbeing is general reference and is never medical advice.

We do not promise that any reading or prediction is accurate, complete or will come true. Any decision you make after reading Content is your own, and you bear the consequences of it.

How Content is produced

Charts (the saju pillars, planetary positions and similar data) are computed by deterministic software. Interpretation text is then generated by an AI language model from the computed chart. AI-generated text may contain errors, inconsistencies or generic statements that do not fit your situation. We set tone guidelines for the model and review them periodically, but we do not individually review each generated text before it is shown to you.

If you are in distress or facing a serious decision, please speak to a qualified professional or a person you trust.

5. Coins

Purchasing Coins

Coins are sold in packs through the in-app purchase system of the Store. The purchase contract for a pack is concluded when the Store confirms your payment. The Store shows the exact price in your currency before you confirm. Current packs are:

US prices exclude sales tax, which the Store may add at checkout. Prices may change; the price shown in the Store at the time of purchase is the price that applies. We may offer a 50% discount on your first purchase or other promotions, which may be changed or ended at any time.

Using Coins

• Coins do not expire.
• Coins can be used only inside Unbyul. They cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to another account or person, or used in any other service.
• When you unlock a Report, Paid Coins are consumed before Bonus Coins.
• Bonus Coins are promotional. They are refunded only together with the Paid Coins they were granted with, and are removed if that purchase is refunded.
• Coins remaining in an account are forfeited when the account is deleted. Please use or request a refund of eligible Coins before deleting your account.

6. Paid content and delivery

Reports are unlocked with Coins. Before each purchase the app shows the Report type, the number of Coins required and a notice that a Report, once shown, cannot be returned. Confirming the purchase deducts the Coins and starts generation.

Reports are digital content. Delivery is immediate: the Report is displayed in the app and saved to your library, where you can read it again as long as your account exists. AI consultation answers are charged per question and are delivered in the same way.

A Report is generated from the birth data in your profile at the time you request it. If you later change your birth data, previously generated Reports are not regenerated automatically.

7. Refunds and withdrawal

Where you live determines which rules apply. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under mandatory law.

Common rules

• If a Report fails to generate, or is unreadable because of a fault on our side, the Coins used are returned automatically. If that does not happen, write to us and we will restore them.
• Coins spent on a Report that has been generated and shown cannot be refunded, because the digital content has been delivered. You are told this before every purchase.
• Refunds of Paid Coins are made through the Store to the original payment method. Bonus Coins granted with the refunded pack are removed. If you have already spent more Coins than remain after removing Bonus Coins, the shortfall is deducted from the refund.
• Repeated or abusive refund requests may lead to suspension of your account.

Korea

Under the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, you may withdraw from a Coin purchase within 7 days of purchase for Coins you have not yet used, by contacting support@oksusucode.com or through the Store. Coins already spent on delivered Reports are excluded from withdrawal under the digital-content exception in Article 17(2) of that Act, and we display this before each purchase as required. If the Content differs materially from what was described, or is defective, you may withdraw within 3 months of delivery or 30 days of learning of the issue.

United States

Your purchase is processed by Apple or Google, and refund requests for Coin packs are made through their refund processes (Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com; Google: Google Play order history). We cannot issue refunds through the Store on their behalf. In addition, our own policy above applies: failed or unreadable Reports result in automatic return of Coins, and we handle any other complaint by email. Any rights under the consumer protection law of your state remain unaffected.

Japan

Your purchase is processed by Apple or Google, and refund requests for Coin packs follow their refund processes. Because Coins and Reports are digital content delivered immediately, the cooling-off system of the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions does not apply to them; however, our own policy above applies, and your rights under the Consumer Contract Act and other mandatory Japanese law remain unaffected. 8. User obligations and prohibited conduct

When using the Service you must comply with these Terms and applicable law. You must not:

• reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise try to extract the source code, models, prompts or interpretation database of the Service;
• scrape, crawl, copy or extract Content in bulk, or access the Service by automated means other than the app we provide;
• resell, redistribute or commercially exploit Reports or other Content;
• impersonate another person, or create accounts with false information or on behalf of someone else without their permission;
• enter another person's birth data or personal information without their consent;
• abuse refund processes, dispute legitimate charges, or otherwise obtain Coins or Reports without paying for them;
• circumvent, disable or interfere with payment, security or access-control features of the Service or the Store;
• use the Service to harass, threaten or harm others, or to generate content that is unlawful;
• interfere with the operation of the Service, for example by overloading our systems.

If you violate these rules we may remove Content, restrict features, suspend or terminate your account, and, where appropriate, report the matter to the authorities.

9. Intellectual property and licence

The Service, including its software, design, logos, interpretation database, prompts and all generated Reports, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. "운별" and "Unbyul" are our marks.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control and to view the Reports in your library for your own non-commercial purposes. You may share the share cards that the app creates for sharing on social media and messaging services. Any other use of Content requires our prior written permission.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without any obligation to you.

10. Changes to the service, suspension and discontinuation

We continuously develop the Service and may add, change or remove features, Reports, prices and designs. Where a change is significant we will let you know in the app or by email.

We may temporarily suspend all or part of the Service for maintenance, security, technical failures, actions of the Store or network operators, or events beyond our reasonable control. We will try to give advance notice where possible and to keep interruptions short.

If we decide to discontinue the Service entirely, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance in the app and at the email address on your account, and we will refund unused Paid Coins. Bonus Coins are not refunded.

11. Termination and account deletion

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account) or at https://unbyul.oksusucode.com/account-deletion. Deleting your account permanently removes your profiles, library and remaining Coins. Please request any eligible refund before deleting your account.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if the Store removes the app. Where feasible we will notify you before or promptly after doing so and give you a chance to respond. If we terminate your account without a breach on your part, we will refund unused Paid Coins.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (for example sections 9, 12 and 13) continue to apply.

12. Liability

We will provide the Service with reasonable care and skill. However, the Service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law, and we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any reading will be accurate or suit your purpose.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses caused by decisions you take in reliance on Content, by inaccurate data you entered, by your device or network, or by events beyond our reasonable control. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for Coins in that period.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law, including consumer protection law in Korea, Japan or your US state.

13. Governing law, disputes and language

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If you live in the United States, Japan or any other country, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence still apply to you and are not displaced by this choice of law.

Disputes will first be addressed by contacting us at support@oksusucode.com; we aim to respond within 10 business days. If a dispute cannot be resolved, it may be brought before the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act (the Seoul Central District Court or the court of the User's domicile). If you live outside Korea, you may also bring a claim before the courts of your place of residence. These Terms do not contain an arbitration clause or a waiver of class actions.

These Terms are published in Korean, Japanese and English. The Korean version governs for Users in Korea, the Japanese version for Users in Japan, and the English version for Users elsewhere. Where a translation conflicts with the governing version for your region, the governing version prevails.

14. Changes to these terms

We may amend these Terms when the law, the Service or our business changes. We will post the amended Terms in the app and on the website at least 7 days before they take effect, and at least 30 days before if the change is unfavourable to Users, together with the effective date and a summary of the change.

If you continue to use the Service after the effective date, you accept the amended Terms. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Service and delete your account before that date; eligible refunds under section 7 remain available.
